Fun at Sounds Dangerous!, Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Along with various sights, you can also find many attractions at the Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park at Walt Disney World Resort. Popular attractions that resort guests visit line up for daily include the ‘Honey I Shrunk the Kids’ Movie Set Adventure, The Great Movie Ride, and Toy Story Mania.

To make sure that your visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is unforgettable, don’t forget to stop by Sounds Dangerous with Drew Carey. This attraction will definitely be fun for both kids and adults, as it takes them on a unique auditory experience led by popular comedian Drew Carey.

Located near Echo Lake in a setting similar to a soundstage, Sounds Dangerous! is a twelve-minute show about an undercover detective named Foster (played by Carey). At the beginning of the show, guests are told that they’ll be viewing a test pilot of a detective show called ‘Undercover Live’.

A projection screen gives guests a view from Foster’s tie, through a hidden camera there. Soon after, guests are plunged into darkness, though, as the camera on Foster’s tie is damaged. Comedic mystery unfolds as the Foster takes guests on an adventure, using only sound.

Guests are given special headphones to use on the attraction, as the attraction uses ‘binaural’ sound technology to enhance the sounds with effects similar to 3D. To enjoy the attraction more conveniently, guests can also use handheld captioning devices and assistive listening receivers.

Despite the attraction’s fun factor, parents are advised that Sounds Dangerous! may not be appropriate for children, as the dark surroundings and loud sounds may frighten them. Children under the age of 7 are also required supervision from a companion aged 14 years or older.

Disney World management has announced that this attraction would be show only seasonally starting 2009. If you happen to visit the resort while the attraction’s open for guests, make sure you experience Sounds Dangerous! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
